Meet...Jessica

Name: Jessica Donohue.

Department: Pediatric Pulmonary Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

How long have you been at MUSC: I was a travel nurse from January until July, then I accepted a permanent position as CF nurse coordinator.

What was your first job: First registered nurse job was pediatric intensive care at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job: Coordinating care for patients and knowing they are getting a multidisciplinary treatment approach.

If you could change careers, what would you be doing: I would be a world traveler.

If you were a tree, what kind would you be: A Christmas tree. No other tree gets lights, ornaments and gifts.

Pet peeve: The saying, “It’s not my job.”

Item you must have in your refrigerator: Orange juice.

Favorite way to unwind after a long day: Walking on the beach.

Biggest challenge: There is not enough time in the day. We are trying to increase efficiency of our CF clinic and getting ready to update our Web site.
