Weight-loss program announces results
MUSC’s
Healthy Charleston Challenge Weight-loss Program is a 12-week weight
loss and activity competition designed to help individuals develop
regular exercise habits, lose weight and adopt healthier lifestyle
changes to achieve personal success.
The program, which runs from Jan. 14 to March 27, features 11 sponsored
challenge teams with 63 participants. Teams participate in weekly
weigh-ins, presentations, health education sessions and group workouts,
as well as individual training. The team posting the highest total
percentage of body weight lost (BWL) at the end of the competition will
be the winners.
The program is sponsored by the MUSC Wellness Center in conjunction
with the Charleston County Parks and Recreation, MUSC Weight Management
Center, the Sportsman’s Shop, Marine Repair Services, Anderson
Insurance Associates, Access Healthcare, Meal Week, Center for
Therapeutic Massage, MUSC Boot Camp and Jason’s Deli.
