Weight-loss challengers continue to
lose pounds
MUSC’s
Healthy Charleston Challenge Weight-loss Program is a 12-week
weight loss and activity competition designed to help individuals
develop regular exercise habits, lose weight and adopt healthier
lifestyle changes to achieve personal success. The program, which runs
from Jan. 14 to March 27, features 11 sponsored challenge teams
with 63 participants.
1. Boot Camp
Total percent BWL: 12.69 percent; total pounds lost: 206.8
2. Anderson Insurance
Total percent BWL: 10.9 percent; total pounds lost: 152.6
3. MUSC Weight Management
Total percent BWL: 10.03 percent; total pounds lost: 141
4. Charleston County Parks
Total percent BWL: 9.88 percent; total pounds lost: 126.2
5. Access Healthcare
Total percent BWL: 8.02 percent; total pounds lost: 128.2
6. Center for Therapeutic Massage
Total percent BWL: 6.54 percent; total pounds lost: 107.2
7. American Cancer Society
Total percent BWL: 5.85 percent; total pounds lost: 81
8. Marine Repair Services
Total percent BWL: 5.69 percent; total pounds lost: 91.2
9. Jason’s Deli
Total percent BWL: 5.26 percent; total pounds lost: 78.4
10. Meal Week
Total percent BWL: 4.93 percent; total pounds lost: 69.8
11. Sportsman Shop
Total percent BWL: 4.75 percent; total pounds lost: 76
