Meet: Sally Rentiers-Young.

Department: Office of International Support and General Counsel's Office.

How long at MUSC: 3 years.

What did you want to be when you were younger: A lawyer or a priest.

What was your first job: I was a sailing instructor for eight years.

What is most rewarding about your job: Meeting people from all over the world and hearing about their research and culture.

Favorite possession: Photographs of friends and family.

Who do you admire the most: Strong women throughout history.

How do you spend your free time: Sailing, boating, hiking, reading and listening to music.

Biggest challenge: Raising three teenage daughters.

Favorite TV show: The Office.

Favorite book: “A Civil Action” by Jonathan Harr.

Pets: Two dogs: a yellow lab named Bear and a Maltese, Cooper.

Historical event you would have liked to have witnessed: Parting of the Red Sea.
