Meet...Caroline (multimedia version)Name: Caroline Davila.![]() How long at MUSC: 10 years. Where were you born: Buenos Aires, Argentina. I grew up in France until my family immigrated to Boston when I was 12 years old. My husband and I moved here after 10 years in Bogota, Colombia, to be closer to my parents. Name an outstanding person at MUSC: Christine VonKolnitz Cooley started the recycling program here in 1995 and thanks to her efforts, MUSC now recycles 28 percent of all its solid waste. What are your goals for recycling: Increased awareness of environmental issues. I would like to see more green buildings that use renewable energy sources like solar panels or wind tubes; any empty rooms in the dark indicate energy consciousness. Pet peeve: People who put trash in the recycling bin. Something you do that is silly but really fun: Ride my bike with no hands singing at the top of my lungs. Great way to relieve stress after work. How do you spend your free time: We go out every weekend on our family sailboat. Words of advice: Our health and that of our children depends on the future health of our environment and we must do everything that we can to protect it. http://www.musc.edu/pr/caroline/.
