Nominations accepted for teaching excellence awards

Nominations are being accepted for the MUSC Foundation Teaching Excellence Awards. The purpose of these awards is to recognize faculty members who have made contributions to the university through teaching. Up to four awards are given annually.

Nominations may be made in one of the following categories: Clinical/Professional (Educator-Mentor); Academic/Scholarship (Educator-Mentor); Educator-Lecturer; and Developing Teacher.

Each awardee will receive a cash award and other special recognitions.

Nomination forms must be received in the Office of the Provost, 179 Ashley Ave., (Colcock Hall) no later than 5 p.m. Feb. 2. Faculty will be notified of their nomination, and the required supporting materials will be solicited from them.

A team of faculty and students representing all colleges, Library Science and Informatics, and the Student Government Association willbe appointed to review the completed portfolios and select the recipients of this year's awards. The portfolio deadline is March 6.
