If
you’ve noticed someone in the College of Health Professions (CHP) doing
an exceptionally good job, you can recognize their
work.
CHP has implemented an employee recognition program based on the
principles of MUSC Excellence and featuring a nomination process open
to everyone on campus. To nominate a CHP employee log on to Sharepoint
at https://sp.musc.edu/chp/resources/rewards/default.aspx
and include a specific statement about why that individual is deserving
of recognition. Each month, CHP will announce a Staff of the Month
winner and two runner-up nominees, and each quarter there will be two
Quarterly Champions. In the fall of each year, the CHP Staff Reward and
Recognition Program Committee will select from the eight quarterly
winners an ‘Annual Legend’ to be honored at a collegewide
gathering.
If it’s too difficult to single out a particular individual among a
group of CHP employees offering outstanding service, it is also
possible to nominate one of CHP’s teams for special recognition. Teams
include Research Support; Student Services; Clinical Education;
Information Technology; Finance & Administration; Executive
Support; and Development. Any ad hoc committee that has staff
membership can be nominated for the team award as well.

The
new CHP recognition program is designed to contribute to the people
pillar of MUSC Excellence by recognizing outstanding service throughout
the year. CHP Staff Reward and Recognition Program is chaired by
Naomi Sampson and includes committee members: Ann Brown, Catherine
McCullough, Jim Moore, Erica Parra, and Gretchen Seif. The committee
worked to pattern the program after other successful recognition
programs on campus including the College of Medicine/UMA, Division of
Education and Student Services and Division of Finance and
Administration.
During the college's reorganization to a structure that supports the
mission of national distinction in health professions research,
education and service, CHP’s staff has risen to the challenge of
positioning CHP for its success. The CHP Staff Reward and Recognition
Program is a fitting way to acknowledge those individuals and teams who
contribute to MUSC Excellence.
CHP invites everyone in the MUSC community to take part by nominating a CHP employee or team for recognition whenever warranted.
