Meet...Joe

Name: Jompobe “Joe” Vuthiganon.

School: A senior in the College of Dental Medicine, but I spent two years prior to that as a research specialist in the Department of Neurosciences.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job: Seeing a patient excited about their improved smile.

Least favorite chore: Cleaning the bathroom, especially removing mildew from the tile grout.

Bad habit: Eating lots of McRibs.  Thank goodness they’re only around for a limited time.

Pet peeve: People from the back of the bus who don’t wait until it’s their row’s turn to exit.

Biggest challenge: Passing the dental license exams and getting all my requirements to graduate.

Favorite place in the world: Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Something people don’t know about you: In college, I lived in a dorm called the Arts Theme House where I hosted Open Mic Nights.  I was best known for a puppet act featuring Ernie performing “I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon.”

Words of advice: If sometimes you feel yourself little, useless, offended and depressed, always remember that you were once the fastest and most victorious sperm out of hundreds of millions.

Something you do that is silly but fun: Towel animal origami.
