Meet...Jackie

Name: Jackqulin “Jackie” Doscher.

Department: Director of training, staff development and quality assurance for University Medical Associates (Parkshore Office).

How long have you been at MUSC: 20 years.

What was your first job: Accounts/receivable for a department store.

The most rewarding aspect of your job: Working with people in this organization, solving problems and finding new, better ways of doing things.

If you could change careers, what would you be doing: I am doing exactly what I want to do. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Pets: Siamese cat, Mr. Pickles, and a black Persian cat, Chockie. They’re littermates, believe it or not. My grandchildren named them.

Pet peeve: People who talk on the cell phone, or women who apply makeup, while driving.

Most memorable day: The births of my twin grandchildren.

Something people don’t know about you: I’m so bad at bowling that I’ve gotten the highest handicap award in the league every year. They actually named it for me.

Favorite quote: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.”—Albert Einstein.
