Meet...Vicky

Name: Vicky Agnew.

Department: Hollings Cancer Center.

How long at MUSC: Since August 2007.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job: When people tell me that they or their loved ones received great care and treatment at Hollings. I never tire of hearing that.

Bad habit: I can be terribly impatient.

Biggest fear: Being trapped long-term in a negative situation.

What superpower would you most like to have and why: I’d like to be able to fly. It would be so freeing, and I could do a lot more traveling!

What would you do with a free day: Spend time with my sisters and my dog, Jack.

Happiest moment in your life: My last day of breast cancer treatment in 2001. But I think I can beat that with something else in the future!

Who is your role model and why: I like the character traits of a lot of people. I don’t have just one role model.

Something people don’t know about you: I eat many, many pounds of popcorn in a year.

Words of advice: Talk less, listen more, and don’t interrupt. I have to remind myself of that regularly.
