Name: Billie W. Snyder.
Department: OCIO-IS, University Communications.
How long have you worked at MUSC: Since September 2008.
Favorite music: The best
birthday present I received from my husband was a Sirrus radio
installed in my car. I listen mostly to a station called Classic Vinyl
which plays classic rock from the late 60s and early 70s. I guess
I forgot to grow up.
Idea of a perfect vacation: Going
someplace unique and interesting. I like being on my own time with no
agenda. Wherever we go, we always rent a car or scooter and explore on
our own. It’s much more fun and relaxing, except when I forget to drive
on the opposite side of the street.
Unforgettable moment in your life: Seeing my daughter holding her son for the first time.
If you could change careers, what would you be: A wildlife photographer.
Three things that brighten your day: A call from my daughter, a good laugh with a friend, and knowing it’s Saturday morning.
Something people don’t know about you: I volunteer for the Cape Romain Wildlife Refuge on the weekends.
I am grateful for: Our children and grandchildren are healthy, my husband’s cancer has not returned, and God is looking out for us.
