Non-profits need help during Day of Caring

Day of Caring, sponsored by Trident United Way, is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11.

Last year, 150 people worked on 14 projects helping non-profit organiza-tions in the Charleston area. Among their projects were working in a soup kitchen, digging a garden, and building handicap rails in a senior center.

Day of Caring in the Lowcountry is the largest in the nation, with more participants than all the Day of Caring events in the rest of South Carolina combined.

Every department is welcome to send a team of volunteers to participate in this extraordinary day of service and fun. Call 792-1973 or visit http://www.tuw.org.
