To Medical Center Employees:

Currently,
a series of 14 medical center town hall meetings are under way.
Everyone is encouraged to attend. The meeting schedule is below. Not
indicated below are some town hall sessions for large departments that
are being held in place of the routine department-based meetings.
The town hall agenda includes a review of the fiscal year 2008/2009
goals and our accomplishments and an update on progress to date toward
our fiscal year 2009/2010 goals. We will recognize employees for
exceptional service and deeds and illustrate the intranet-based system
for nominating Employees of the Month. We also will highlight certain
departments that have made great strides with patient satisfaction.
Agenda topics also include a summary of our 2008 Employee
Perspective/Partnership organization-wide action plan results and key
findings from the 2009 Employee Partnership survey. We will encourage
everyone to attend department-based meetings being held between now and
Oct. 31 to focus on their department’s Employee Partnership survey
results and to develop action plans to improve employee engagement and
satisfaction.
Finally, we will focus on the top 10 Joint Commission survey “hot
spots,” which everyone needs to be attuned to as we prepare for an
unannounced survey in the days or weeks ahead. Questions from town hall
meeting attendees will also be addressed.
I understand it is difficult for everyone to schedule time, but you are
encouraged to make every reasonable effort to attend a town hall
session. I look forward to seeing you there.
