What happens
when a patient wants to express his thanks for the
extraordinary care and service he received at Hollings Cancer Center’s
(HCC) Chemotherapy/Infusion Suite? One decided to honor nurses and
staff with a “thank you” lunch Nov. 5. For eight weeks, Tom Waldrep, a
retired MUSC employee, had a standing appointment at HCC’s infusion
suite to receive antibiotic infusion therapy. He had no idea how the
experience would help him value the compassionate care he received. On
the last day of his treatment, Waldrep treated the staff to a lunch
from East Bay Deli.|
