Gives Back to sponsor World AIDS Day, holiday lighting


In honor of World AIDS Day luminary and red ribbons will be sold from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1 on the portico at the Colbert Education Center & Library building. There also will be a Lunch and Learn seminar with guest speaker Michael Kilby, M.D., MUSC Division of Infectious Disease from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 100 of the Basic Science Building. The annual community vigil will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will start at the MUSC Horseshoe and continue to the College of Charleston Physician Auditorium.

The annual holiday lighting will take place at 4 p.m., Dec. 1 at the MUSC Horseshoe. Candles will be lit to honor Advent, Hanukkaha and Kwanza. There also will be Christmas caroling, a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ and refreshments with Santa will be served around the tree.
