ART of Healthy Cooking’ selected as top finalist in contest


The “ART of Healthy Cooking” cookbooks have been selected as a top 10 finalist nationally in the Morris Press cookbook contest.

The cookbooks will be on sale from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 at Ashley River Tower; Dec. 17 at the farmers market in the Horseshoe; and Dec. 10 at the university hospital lobby. The cookbooks also will be for sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13 and Dec. 14 in the Horseshoe. Limited copies of the second printing still remain.

The cookbooks feature 498 healthy recipes and various works of art from the Ashley River Tower’s Contemporary Carolina Collection. Proceeds from the $26 cookbooks benefit Heart Health, Health 1st, and the Medical University Women’s Club and will be used for educational tools for childhood obesity treatment, employee wellness and student scholarships.
