Nominations for honorary degree accepted through Dec. 17



The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is accepting nominations for persons to receive honorary degrees from MUSC, to be awarded at commencement in May 2011.

In general, honorary degrees go to individuals in the following broad categories: Contribution to the nation, to science, or to the state or MUSC. Nominations of MUSC alumni are generally discouraged.

Nominations of candidates along with supporting materials such as letters, articles, curriculum vitaes, etc., in the above mentioned categories are encouraged. The nominations should be forwarded to Marcia Higaki, Office of the Provost, Colcock Hall, 179 Ashley Ave., MSC 002, higakimc@musc.edu, no later than Friday, Dec. 17.
