Help sell 200 Children’s Hospital license plates, win prizes

The Volunteer Advisory Grant Program relies on sales from the Children’s Hospital license plate in order to fund projects that directly impact Children’s Hospital patients and families. The Children’s Hospital

Volunteer Advisory Committee (VAC) has created a challenge to increase the number of plates on the road and therefore the number of children the hospital is able to serve. Of the $50 fee, $42 goes to support projects dedicated to the tasks of improving the care of patients, and improving the hospital experience for patients and their families in the Children’s Hospital. While the VAC was able to fund seven Children’s Hospital projects totaling $12,000 last year, it received almost $100,000 in funding requests.

In order to do so, VAC has created the License Plate Challenge—sell 200 plates by the end of the year. VAC is asking MUSC employees to help sell the license plate. The following grand prizes will be awarded to the four top sellers.
  • 46” Samsung Flat Screen TV
  • Tour of Army Wives set with Brian McNamara as your guide
  • One night at the Grand Room at Middleton Place
  • Pandora bracelet with three charms
You must sell a minimum of 10 plates to qualify. Information regarding applications and brochures outlining successful grant recipients are available at https://www.musc.edu/medcenter/news/chLicensePlate.htm

A request for proposals for the grant program will be announced later this month for programs that serve the perinatal and children’s service lines.
