Meet...Mike

Name: Mike Wheeler

Department: University Compliance Office

How long at MUSC: Almost 10 years

Favorite TV show: Any college football game

A unique talent you have: I can repair motorcycles which make me popular with my fellow riders

First job: Auto mechanic

Bad habit: Biting my fingernails

Most embarrassing moment: While riding my Harley on a gravel road last year, a friend in front of me laid down his bike and I had to either lay mine down or run him over.  Let’s say I had to make a few repairs and sleep with a heating pad for the next week

First thing you notice about a person: Their posture

What do you do on a rainy day: Whatever my wife says

Favorite restaurant: Mount Pleasant King Street Grille during a college football game

How would you spend a million dollars: I would open a gym with nothing but free weights (no cardio equipment, aerobics or juice bar)

Idea of a dream vacation: Taking my grandson to Disney World without his parents tagging along

Favorite quote: “Do right. Do your best. Treat others as you want to be treated.”—Lou Holtz
