Communication boards judged for creativity

The MUSC Excellence COM-UMA Communications Team recognized the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine for being the first department to be honored for its communication board. Judges felt this communication board features all the elements of a great MUSC Excellence board while fun and creative.   
 
Tammie Matusik, Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine, updates the department's communication board.

 Nominations were received from several departments, and after careful review it was decided that Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine should be awarded the Board of the Quarter.   The creative mind behind this fun board was Tammie Matusik, an administrative assistant within the department. To thank her for her efforts in both design and maintenance of the board, Matusik will be awarded an Excellence champion certificate as well as a gift card.
 
Additionally, honorable mentions went to both the Department of Surgery and Medicine’s Division of Rheumatology & Immunology for their communication boards. Competition was heated; the pressure is on to stretch those creative skills.
 
Nominations for next quarter’s winning communication board will be accepted starting April 1.
