First-year doctorate students select Teacher of the Year

Dr. Craig Beeson

For the fourth time, Craig Beeson, Ph.D., was voted Teacher of the Year by first-year doctorate students in the College of Graduate Studies (CGS).

The designation means that Beeson, an associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences, was voted as providing meaningful and functional lectures in an efficient and engaging manner.

Perry Halushka, M.D., Ph.D.,  and CGS dean, said Beeson continues to earn recognition from students because he has an engaging style, which makes students feel a part of the learning process.

“He knows his material very well and can communicate in an extraordinary, lucid manner. He is an exemplar of the type of teacher and mentor that we hold in the highest regard.  It is teachers like him that make our college attractive to our applicants and students.”
