New ORD director named

Joann Sullivan, Ph.D., director of grants development and professor, Department of Library Science and Informatics, has been named director of Office of Research Development (ORD). The announcement was made by Stephen M. Lanier, Ph.D., associate provost for research, on June 11. Sullivan replaces Peggy Schachte as of July 1.

Sullivan also serves as assistant dean for Extramural Program Development in the College of Graduate Studies. She has a doctorate in physical chemistry from the University of South Carolina. She joined MUSC in 1994 as part of the initial team of ORD.
