Meet...Nikki

Name:
Nicole (Nikki) Michaud.

Department: Cardiovascular Perfusion, College of Health Professions

How long at MUSC: 1 year

Pets: Charlie, a cardinal, who my daughter, Olivia, is convinced followed us from Wisconsin

First job: Washing dishes at my parents' restaurant

Meal you love to cook: At this point in my life, the meal I love to cook is anything that does not consist of mac-n-cheese, chicken nuggets and  hot dogs.

Most embarrassing moment: Scoring the winning basket for the opposing team. I was 12 years old, but it was terrible and was never forgotten as it was mentioned in my state semifinal game during my senior year.

What do you do on a rainy day: A rainy day in our house is a great day!  We make chocolate chip cookies and play board games or cards (my girls are getting pretty good at “GOLF”)!

One thing you do that never gets old: Snuggling with my children; however, I know a day will come when snuggling with their mom will be something that gets old for them.

Favorite place in the world: Watching the sunset in Maui!

The best thing about living in Charleston: The weather is absolutely the best part of Charleston! I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin (and no, I am not a Packer fan but instead a Chicago Bears fan). A hot humid day in July is nothing compared to a -10 degree day with a wind-chill -20 degrees.
