Hospital corridor connecting to 2nd floor library closed temporarily

Hospital corridor connecting to 2nd floor library closed temporarily Construction and Design will be temporarily closing the second floor corridor between the Colbert Education Center & Library and the university hospital from Jan. 15 to Jan. 31 to construct two-hour fired-rated walls from stairwell H2SW2 to the ingress and exterior door on the connector.

The connector between the library and the hospital will be closed to the public. This will also close the passage from the North Tower to the connector and corridor.

Temporary partition doors will be placed at each end of the construction site during the closure. Signage will re-route traffic during this time. After this construction, the Adult Emergency Department lobby will be renovated, and this work is necessary to meet hospital egress fire and life safety measures.
