Relay for Life kickoff slated for Jan. 20


A Relay for Life kickoff  will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 20 in the Colleges of Health Professions Atrium. MUSC employees, faculty, staff and students will receive information about the April 8 - 9 event and ways they can participate. 

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an event that gives everyone a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

During the relay, teams of people will camp out at the Patriots Point Athletic Complex and take turns walking or running around the track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event The only requirement to participate in Relay For Life is a $10 registration fee (per person) that is due upon registration.


During the kickoff, committee members will be available to answer questions. Food and drinks also will be available. For information on the relay, visit
