With emotions running high,College
of Medicine students learned the
next step of their journey March
16 during the March Madness-themed
celebration of Match Day held at
Charleston Music Hall.

A total of 140
medical school seniors
successfully matched at residency
locations in Virginia,
Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New
York, Georgia, Texas and other
states as part of the local and
national annual Match Day
celebrations. Students also match
in several residencies positions
at MUSC including anesthesiology,
emergency medicine, family
medicine, internal medicine,
OB-GYN, pediatrics, psychiatry,
radiology and surgery.

MUSC joined
with other March 16 Match Day
celebrations across the country.
Qualified students register via
the National Resident Matching
Program and are later
computer-matched to 1,246
positions at U.S. residency
programs.
