Background: Fifty children (ages 6-17) from across South Carolina and neighboring states will attend the free, four-day camp designed especially for children who have suffered a severe burn injury. While some activities have been modified to accommodate this group's specific needs, the camp is designed to allow the children to have fun, build self-esteem, and develop friendships with others who have experienced similar injuries. Camp 'Can' Do is sponsored by MUSC Children's Hospital Pediatric Burn Services and South Carolina Firefighters who support the special needs of burn-injured children.
